Max Factory, known for producing numerous Guyver products over the years, spent over five years developing the ultimate Guyver I figure, culminating in this new 1/6 scale Guyver I action figure.
The new Guyver I figure for the Reiwa era was created with the intense passion of Max Factory President Max Watanabe and the careful review and approval of the original manga creator Yoshiki Takaya.
The sculpt of the figure has been rebuilt from the ground up based on past Guyver products.
By working with Yoshiki Takaya to make adjustments to the sculpt day-by-day, the ideal Guyver I as envisioned by the original creator and Max Factory was completed.
Standing at 30cm in height (1/6 scale), it is the largest among Guyver products up until now, making for an incredibly impressive action figure.
In order to properly reproduce the complex organic look of Guyver I, Max Factory employed a hybrid production process whereby elements created with digital modeling were then recreated through carving sculpting putty by hand.
Through this manual process, subtle surface variations and the details of individual muscles have been created in incredible detail, maintaining a high-degree of sculpting detail despite being a large-size action figure.
Max Factory president and popular modeler Max Watanabe supervised the paintwork production of the figure himself. The final paintwork design was created following years of trial and error.
Gradated paintwork inspired by the Max Technique of shading is employed to reduce blank space from the figure's large size.
This gradated paintwork gives the figure a sense of weightiness.
The designing of the figure's articulated frame was handled by Sentinel. To accommodate the high level of articulation required of the action figure, double joints and drawer joints are utilized across the figure. These joints make it possible to achieve natural action-packed poses. Poses like the Mega Smasher and Pressure Cannon technique poses can be perfectly created thanks to the specially designed articulation specifically for Guyver.
This product is equipped with a light-emitting feature in the eyes, Guyver Unit and chest lens.
These additions are made possible thanks to the size of the model.
The light that peeks through the gaps in the Guyver Unit is particularly beautiful.
Two types of eyes, a pair of standard eyes and a pair featuring a honeycomb pattern, are included. The way light shines through them differs between types.*An LR41 battery is required for use.

From the manga series "Bio Booster Armor Guyver" comes a 1/6 scale action figure of Guyver I. This ultimate rendition of Guyver I was created with sculpting, paintwork and articulation all under the review and approval of original creator Yoshiki Takaya. Joints across the figure utilize drawer joint construction, allowing the Guyver I's action-packed poses to be easily created in figure form. The figure's paintwork design, planned by Max Factory president and popular modeler Max Watanabe, was created through extensive trial and error, arriving at a final design that perfectly embodies the spirit of the original work. The chest plate can be opened and closed, and a light-emitting feature is included in the eyes, forehead Guyver Unit and chest lens. The figure also comes with High Frequency Wave-Vibration Swords, interchangeable chest parts for creating the Mega Smasher pose, interchangeable underarm parts and a dedicated stand base.
