Good Smile Company, known for its diverse collaboration figures, is launching a new initiative called "COVERS". The project is based on the theme of "Character × Illustrator × Figure", and takes shape as a collaborative venture designed to re-examine and re-express various characters' appeal through the fusion of art and three-dimensional sculpting.

Akane Shinjo: Chaos New Order feat. saitom
We asked saitom, a master of bishojo x mecha characters, to redesign Akane for the theatrical film with the intention of bringing out the best of both aspects. The result is a captivating and exciting new form that includes the essence of Alexis Kerib (New Order)! This new illustration was brought to life through saitom's multiple discussions with Director Amemiya, character designer Sakamoto, and Alexis' character designer Koyama. The collaboration and process truly brings to light illustrator saitom's unique ability to resonate with other creators.
Rikka Takarada & Akane Shinjo feat. toridamono
The figure features Rikka and Akane as high school girls from the perspective of illustrator toridamono, who excels in textural expression. As can be seen from their work in other art fields, toridamono possesses an incredibly high capacity for concept creation, which helped bring the youthful aspects of the two characters to life. Beyond the cuteness of Rikka and Akane's faces and the captivating textural expressions, we hope you'll enjoy this new take on the loveable pair as regular high schoolers.

A series that started like a dream, where the artist's interpretation breathes new life into characters, and their forms gain definition as figures. Illustrator saitom is not only skillful at depicting captivating mechanics, but also known for their technique in depicting the appeal and details of the curves of the human body.
We were excited to see saitom portray Holo's uninhibited brightness, yet mysterious demeanor in their unique style. Yes, that's the dream we've always had.
