Max Factory Planning Department Kaneko Nitohei - Hatsune Miku's 16th birthday illustration is now set to become the first plastic model in the new PLAMATEA plastic model series by Good Smile Company and Max Factory.
It is a difficult task to incorporate the beautiful atmosphere of Rella's ephemeral illustrations into plastic model form, but thanks to the efforts of the modeler, the plastic model has turned out stunning.

Hatsune Miku Happy 16th Birthday
Figure Project Comment- Every year there are many new Hatsune Miku figures. You might even be able to say that she is the character with the most figures in the world.
One day, I realized just how important figures are to the existence of Hatsune Miku, so in the "Wings of Creation" in the Hastune Miku Happy 16th Birthday -Dear Creators- design, I added figure production tools.
In the Wings of Creation on the right wing, the "Form" wing, there are figure production tools like pliers, sprays, clips, etc.
I'm also really happy that this Hastune Miku Happy 16th Birthday -Dear Creators- design can become a figure as well.
When creating the Wings of Creation, I was conscious of the fact that it could be turned into a figure in the future, creating a design that was possible to capture in figure form while preserving all of the details and context vital for celebrating her 16th birthday.
...That said, I tend to worry about things when I create illustrations on my own.
But, once again, Good Smile Company has shown their incredible expertise.
Another figure that looks like it could jump into motion at any moment has taken shape.
Up until now, I was in communication with Good Smile Company very often for review and approval purposes, and I believe thanks to their tenacity in responding to my requests, I think the figure turned out very well.
It can be enjoyed from any angle as well, another charming feature owed to the three-dimensional nature of figures.
Things that couldn't be seen in the original illustration, like the view of her face from the side, or the three-dimensional details of the Wings of Creation, can easily be seen.
What's more, in addition to a Nendoroid, the design is set to be added to the new PLAMATEA plastic model lineup as well.
In each case, the Wings of Creation, originally designed with the scale figure in mind, are adapted for each medium.
By the way, the Nendoroid this time was designed with a goal of going back to basics, and things like the eyes and hair accessories are strongly reminiscent of classic Hatsune Miku designs.
This Hatsune Miku 16th Birthday Figure Project was created with the dreams of creators and fans in mind.
I would love if it could be enjoyed by as many people as possible.
