PROJECT

Shin Japan Heroes Universe Statue

In order to create the ultimate statue of Japan's four iconic heroes, four highly-skilled sculptors were selected, along with one paintwork artist to tie them all together.
The result is a true "Sculptors' Universe".

The Core of Shin, Woven by the Master of Kaiju Sculpting

Sculptor of Godzilla Genzo Ihara

From 2014 to 2016, I had the opportunity to be involved in creating various prototypes and models for "Shin Godzilla" at Takayuki Takeya’s workshop. "Shin Godzilla" holds a special place in my heart and has a deep significance for me personally.
I am honored to be able to create the Shin Godzilla prototype for the Shin Japan Heroes Universe project, and to be involved in commercial sculpting again.
Sculpting Shin Godzilla in a pose with its chin pulled in and head tilted back, as well as managing the balance of the thick coiled tail was extremely challenging.
I would like to thank everyone involved for the opportunity to be a part of this project, as well as express my gratitude to the staff for their help and cooperation.
